Another catch up!

I guess the newness of a blog has worn off because I'm not doing so well keeping this updated!  But it is still fun to show some of the projects I've been working on and I've had requests to continue on.  Here you go!

A few pillows I've done. . .
This first one I was challenged with figuring out how to make an oxford pillowcase (well actually it is completely enclosed).  This just means it has that the extra fabric around the edges of the pillow.

I got to just use my imagination on this pillow.  She wanted a solid color and an embellished pillow.  This is what I came up with!

A few curtains I've done. . .
Don't feel like you always have to start from scratch on your curtains.  A friend of mine bought these valances for her kitchen and we changed them a bit to fit her kitchen style a little more.  So we went from this . . .
 To this!
I liked this more tailored look and added white ribbon to the bottom to finish it off.

This is a blue panel curtain that I just added the white stripes to.

Look at all the ruffles!  These will be going in 2 girls' rooms.  So fun!  I added ruffles to plain white bed skirts to match these curtains too!

My sister had me paint and redo the curtains in her condo.  What fun!!!  These are her kitchen curtains.

Some clothing items. . .
I made this mustard skirt for myself.  I thought it would be fun to try a kick pleat, so here it is!

But my favorite part is sneaking this fun fabric in for the lining of the waistband!  Don't the polka dots just make you smile?  :)  I know, no one sees it but me, but it still is fun!

Look how horrendously stained this shirt is!  Yes, I really do not enjoy laundry and it shows!

But I saved the shirt, cut it up a bit and turned it into this dress!  Super fun!!

A friend of mine was heading to Disney last month.  She made a Cinderella shirt for her daughter and wanted a prince charming shirt for her son.  So, we put together her idea and my sewing to come up with this t-shirt turned prince charming shirt!  Cuteness!

A few random projects. . .
I just can't resist taking pics and showing the poufs I make!  Loved this choice of fabric!!!

A "frugal" friend of mine took an idea from a Pottery Barn comforter and made her own for a fraction of the price!  She found the pink blanket for super cheap and then cut out the flower petals from fun fabrics.  I just had the job of sewing them on!  Love to share other peoples great ideas!

And then a few projects that I didn't get pics of. . .
recovering bench cushions
curtains and more curtains:)
tablecloths
mending
lamp shade

Let me know if I can do anything for you!  I'd love to!
